Helen Battigan, qualified floral arts instructor and award winning floral arts competitor gave a flower arranging demonstration to a packed audience of over 50 people in Wexford Library on Thursday the 25th July. She showed them how to make contemporary arrangements using recyclable materials such as window boxes and flower pots. She encouraged her participants to get crafty with wool and other found objects to decorate and embellish old containers in which to display their arrangements. Helen gave a very informative talk in which she shared knowledge of her love of gardening and plants and entertained the audience with a few yarns along the way. This event was organised by Wexford Public Library Services in association with Wexford in Bloom.Thank you to Nicola McGrath and library staff for all their help and enthusiasm for the event.
